Dr. Bonnie Chuter grew up in Mississauga, Ontario. As a teenager, she suffered from headaches and had great results from a chiropractor so after her first year in sciences at McMaster University she decided to become a chiropractor. The reason for the choice was the philosophy of chiropractic interested her. Chiropractic philosophy focuses on removing spinal interference to allow normal nerve flow to all cells, tissues, muscle and organs of the body. This will allow the body to self-heal, and self-regulate. Chiropractic first, drugs second, surgery last! As Albert Schweitzer said, "Each patient carries his own doctor inside him. They come to us not knowing that truth. We are at our best when we give the doctor who resides within each patient a chance to work."
Before entering chiropractic college, Dr. Bonnie spent two years at McMaster University Hamilton, Ontario and one year at the University of Guelph to obtain her B.Sc. After graduating from the four year Doctorate program at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1995, she spent three years practicing in a busy multi-doctor clinic in Guelph, Ontario.
Dr. Bonnie moved to B.C. in 1998 and practiced in White Rock for 1 year before starting Minoru Chiropractic in 1999.
When Dr. Bonnie is not at the office, she enjoys walking, pilates, golf, hiking, roller blading and spending time with her three children; Sierra, Orion and Sky as well as her two dogs. Bonnie is also an avid runner and has completed many marathons, including the Boston Marathon. Her personal best marathon time is 3 hours 15 min. Dr. Bonnie regularly attends continuing education seminars and has a chiropractic fellowship in Pediatrics.
Dr. Bonnie believes that in order to be 100% healthy, chiropractic, exercise, diet, adequate rest and a positive attitude all need to be a regular part of your life. She is very passionate about chiropractic and loves helping people live healthier drug-free, natural lives. One of her favourite sayings is "Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe." Gail Devers
Dr. Bonnie uses the Thompson technique with drop tables as her primary technique of choice but also uses some activator and manual adjusting techniques as well.
